An American singer and songwriter Paul Simon (full name Paul Frederic Simon) was born on October 13, 1941 in Newark, New Jersey, USA. The first steps in musical career were in duet with Art Garfunkel. Together they reached the fame. The most popular songs during their work were The Sound of Silence, The Boxer, Mrs. Robinson, and Bridge Over Troubled Water. In 1970 the duo split and Simon began his solo career. The peak of it was in 1986 when his album Graceland was released. It was an experiment with African music and such style became a mainstream.
