American hip-hop duo Insane Clown Posse from Detroit, Michigan, the United States was formed in 1989. The duo composes of Joseph Bruce, better known as Violent J and of Joseph Utsler known as Shaggy 2 Dope. The duo’s style can be described as horrorcore and hardcore hip hop. The band got the popularity due to their lyrics which is always about violence, sadism, street life, insanity, slaughters, necrophilia, horror films and other related themes. The band was criticized for such image and many respected music magazines gave only negative reviews on their albums. Magazines Spin and Blender recognized the band as the worst on pop music. Though the band has released three gold albums and two platinum ones. Being so controversial the band collaborated with many famous artists like Kid Rock, Snoop Dogg, KoRn and others.
