American punk band The Distillers was formed in 1998 in Los Angeles, California, the United States. The band members were Brody Dalle, Tony Bradley, Ryan Sinn, Andy Granelli, Rose Mazzola, Kim Chi, Mat Young and Elisa Bonesteel. The band broke up in 2006. The band was founded by Brody Armstrong, later Dalle, an ex-wife of Tom Armstrong (Rancid). She changed her sirname after the divorce. She had a very distinctive harsh voice and wrote or co-wrote nearly all the band’s songs for their three studio albums. She was also the leading singer and guitarist. The debut album The Distillers was released in 2000 through Epitaph records, the next one Sing Sing Death House was issued in 2002 and 2003 saw the last album Coral Fang. The last two albums spawned single The Young Crazed Peeling, City of Angeles, Drain the Blood and some others.
