Extreme metal band Brujeria comes from Mexico City, Mexico. The band was founded in 1989 by guitarist Dino Cazares, Jello Biafra, drummer Pat Hoed, bass guitarist Billy Gould and vocalist Juan Brujo. All the band members were under their stage names to stay incognito as they were involved in other bands as well. The band was formed in time when there was discrimination against Latin American metalheads. The band was supposed to represent the Hispanic community and all the lyrics are in Spanish. The band usually sings about sex, narcotics, immigration, Satanism and killing white people though majority of the members are white. The band has released three studio albums and during their first years they didn’t play shows a lot. Only in 2003, the band gave their first concert in the US and began the first tour.
