Blue Öyster Cult is an American hard rock, psychedelic rock, progressive rock and heavy metal band that was formed in 1967, and currently consists of Eric Bloom (lead vocals, guitar, keyboards), Buck Dharma (lead guitar, vocals), Richie Castellano (keyboards, guitar, vocals), Rudy Sarzo (bass guitar, back-up vocals) and Jules Radino (drums, percussion). They achieved mainstream success in 1972 with their album, Blue Öyster Cult, which produced the singles, "Cities on Flame with Rock and Roll," "Stairway to the Stars," and "Then Came the Last Days of May". The band's first live album On Your Feet or on Your Knees (1975) achieved greater success and went gold. It yielded the singles, "Before the Kiss, A Redcap", "I Ain't Got You" and "Born to Be Wild".
