Ricky Martin (birth name Enrique Martín Morales) is a Puerto Rican pop, latin pop and contemporary R&B singer and songwriter. He was born on December 24, 1971, in San Juan, Puerto Rico. He gained popularity as a member of the Latin American boy band Menudo. After completing the high school, he left San Juan and moved to New York. He is best known for a collection of the hits such as "Livin' la Vida Loca", "She Bangs", "She's All I Ever Had" and "Shake Your Bon-Bon", "Nobody Wants To Be Lonely" (duet with Christina Aguilera) and "Private Emotion" (feat. Meja). His first and most prominent single was "Livin' la Vida Loca," which reached number one in many countries around the world, including the U.S., the U.K., Argentina, Australia, Brazil, France, Greece, India, Israel, Italy, Japan, Guatemala, Mexico, Russia, Turkey, and South Africa.
