Elvis Costello (birth name Declan Patrick MacManus) is an English hard rock, punk rock and country singer-songwriter. He was born on 25 August 1954, in London, England. He achieved recognition as an early participant in London's pub rock scene in the mid-1970s, and later became associated with the punk rock and New Wave musical genres.
