Vince Neil, birth name Vincent Neil Wharton was born on February 8, 1961 in Hollywood, California. He is an American rock musician and vocalist, lead singer of the heavy metal band Mötley Crüe. Neil rose to fame with the band when they were releasing series of consecutive successful albums like Shout at the Devil, Theatre of Pain, Girls, Girls, Girls and Dr. Feelgood. The band went through drug rehabilitation and Neil also had problems with drugs and alcohol. He left the band in 1992 claiming that he was fired, while the band was insisting that he left on his own. After that, he began his solo career releasing the debut album Exposed in 1993. The debut single “You’re invited (But Your Friend Can’t Come)” came out in 1992. The album’s style can be classified as heavy metal and hard rock, while Neil’s second album Carved in Stone is more industrial-oriented.
