American rock band Steve Miller Band comes from San Francisco, California, the United States and was formed in 1967. Originally the band was called Goldberg-Miller Blues Band. After playing in Chicago clubs they were signed to Epic Records. However, Steve Miller moved to San Francisco where he formed that what would be known as Steve Miller Band, though at first it was called Steve Miller Blues Band. They were singed by Capitol Records in 1967. The debut album Children of Future was recorded in England and released in 1968. The album didn’t get any success but that was only the beginning of the long band’s career. The have topped the Billboard Hot 100 with some of their hit singles like The Joker, "Fly Like an Eagle", "Jet Airliner", "Abracadabra" and some others.
