Alessia Aquilani, better known as her stage name Alexia is an Italian eurodance and pop singer born on may 19, 1967 in La Spezia, Liguria, Italy. She began her career in 1990 collaborating with a music producer Roberto Zanetti and featuring his projects like Double You and Ice MC. Later she began her solo career and was quite successful having released an album The Party which broke up the charts in the UK. At that time her most popular songs were Summer is Crazy, Number One and Uh La La La. At the beginning of 2000s she decided to change her music style and moved from eurodance to pop music and began singing in Italian. She appeared at the Sanremo Music Festival, a very prestigious Italian event in show business. Her most successful Italian album was Gli Occhi Grandi Della Luna (Moon's eyes) which spawned an international hit “You Need Love”.
