Michael Joseph Jackson known as Michael Jackson is often referred as king of pop. During his life - born August 29, 1958, died June 25, 2009 - he produced incredible number of hits, the best selling album ever Thriller and won many awards like Grammy, Billboard Award. He's a member of the Songwriter's Hall of Fame and of Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. MTV Japan VMA awarded him as a legend. TIME magazine called Jackson as “the hottest single phenomenon since Elvis Presley”. On May 14, 1984, Jackson got the award in the White House from the US president Ronald Reagan. He began his career being a little boy and sang in a group together with his brothers, but in 1971 he decided to begin the solo career and his album "Off the Wall" was a breakthrough for him.
