German sympho-metal, sympho-rock and gothic rock band Xandria comes from Bielefeld, Germany, formed in 1997. The band’s founder is Marco Heubaum. The current band’s line-up composes of Kerstin Bischof (vocals), Marco Heubaum (vocals, guitar, keyboards), Philip Restemeier (guitar), Nils Middelhauve (bass) and Gerit Lamm (drums). At the beginning, Xandria was not a real band. Some of the recorded material was placed on the internet. The feedback was very positive and the strong following began appearing. As a result, Marco decided to create a real band and the real birth of Xandria happened in 2000. The underground success followed by a release of the debut album “Kill the Sun”. The band embarked on a tour with Subway to Sally and later joined Tanzwut. Since that time, the band released four more albums and one extended play.
