A La Carte on LastFM

In the late 1970s the female bands were a great trend throughout the Europe, so that was the main reason for the formation of a new band which got the name A la Carte. It was formed in 1978 and the original line-up composed of Patsy Fuller, Julia and Elane. The most famous singles of this band are “Wanted”, “Do Wah Diddy Diddy”, “Aha Tamoure” and “Ring Me Honey”. The band managed to survive for six years changing its members a few times. In 1989 a famous European DJ Mungo Jerry tried to revive A la Carte. They recorded a new single “Dancing in the Summertime” and an album “Sun Sun Summertime”. However, the project wasn’t a success and the band disappeared from the disco scene once again.
