Tyrant is an Australian hard rock and heavy metal band from Tasmania was founded in 1980 by two brothers Andrew and Robert Zarins as Slyder band, and currently consists of Neil 'Steel' Wilson (vocals), Brett Collidge (guitars), Simon Wilson (guitars), Jason Paul Smith (bass) and Nathan Sproule (drums). Their music style is heavily influenced by various metal bands such as AC/DC, Rose Tattoo, Motorhead, Saxon, Judas Priest, Iron Maiden, Accept and The Angels. They rose to fame in 1984 with their EP, Never Too Loud, which received very good reviews from critics and it topped Australian metal charts. After this release, they went on tour throughout Australia. In the mid-1980, they released their breakthrough debut album, Mean Machine, which produced several singles such as "Free For All", "We Stay Free", "Wanna Make Love" and "Ready For Love".
