ABBA is the most famous Swedish pop band in the world. The name of the group stands for the first letters of the members' names, i.e. Anni-Frid Lyngstad, Björn Ulvaeus, Benny Andersson and Agnetha Fältskog. The road to fame began from from the winning the song contest Eurovision with their first hit Waterloo. It happened in 1974 and the group was formed in 1970 in Stockholm.
