The music project Era was created by French composer Eric Lévi in 1996. Other members of the project are Guy Protheroe, Lena Jinnegren, Eric Geisen, Florence Dedam, Murielle Lefebvre, Chester Thompson, Lee Sklar, Phil Collins, Daryl Stuermer and Irene Bustamante. Era’s music is a mixture of pseudo-Latin Gregorian chants (the language is constructed, not a real one) with contemporary arrangements in different styles, like rock, synth, electric. The lyrics is based on the beliefs of an old French sect The Cathars. During the live shows vocalists of Era wear medieval clothes and armor. The best known Era’s songs are “Ameno”, “Divano”, “Enae Volare Mezzo”, “Don’t Go Away” and others. You can download all of the Era hits in mp3 from our site. Debut album Era was the biggest music French export at that time.
