American singer Al Jarreau, better known as Alwyn Lopez Jarreau was born on March 12, 1940 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, United States. He works in such genres like pop, jazz, soul and funk. He has been into music since his childhood as all his family sand in the church and his mother was a church pianist. During his long career, he received seven Grammy Awards in such nominations like Best Jazz Vocal Performance, Best Album for Children, Best Male Pop Vocal Performance,, Best Male R&B Vocal Performance and some others.
