Incubus is an American alternative rock and alternative metal band that was formed in 1991, in Calabasas, California, United States. The band consists of Brandon Boyd, Mike Einziger, Chris Kilmore, Ben Kenney and Jose Pasillas. Their most important influence was Faith No More. With many critics praising the band's ambition, it has also made them difficult to classify correctly, though most conclude that Incubus is, at its basis, an alternative rock band. The band rose to fame in 1999 with their commercially-successful album, Make Yourself. The album yielded several singles such as "Pardon Me", "Stellar", and "Drive".
