American heavy metal group Anthrax was formed in New York City in 1981. Through the years the band changed its line-up and right now the lead vocalist Dan Nelson has left the group, so the current line-up consists of Scott Ian (rhythm guitar, backing vocals) Charlie Benante (drums, percussion), Frank Bello (bass, backing vocals) and of Rob Caggiano (lead guitars). The band is known to enter the “big four” of the thrash metal bands with Metallica, Slayer and Megadeath. During its career the band appeared in popular American TV series, appeared in movies and their songs “Madhouse” and “Now it’s Dark” can be heard in computer games. The album Persistence of Time is considered to be a popular one. Fan liked it a lot especially the song “Bring the Noise” recorded with Public Enemy.
