French power, speed and symphonic metal band Fairyland comes from Nice, France. The band was founded in 1998 by two musicians - keyboardist Philippe Giordana and bassist-drummer Willdric Lievin. Both of them had the same passion for the epic and symphonic heavy metal. Soon, the twosome recruited other musicians for completing the line-up and recorded the album. The debut effort Of Wars in Osyrhia was released in 2003. The album was critically acclaimed and this allowed the band to tour with such famous bands like Sonata Arctica. The same year, they were noticed at the Swedish Rock Festival. The next album Fall of the Empire came out in 2006 and followed by the tour with Kamelot and Leaves’ Eyes.
