French symphonic metal band Adagio was formed in Montpellier, Laguedoc-Rousseillion, France in 2000. The band members are Stephan Forté (guitar), Christian Palin (vocals), Franck Hermanny (bass), Kevin Codfert (keyboards) and Eric Lébailly (drums). The band is led by their guitarist Stephan Forté who is considered to be their creative force. The band’s music is characterized by dark, dense orchestration, complex lead work, and a driving rhythm section. On their 2006 studio work Dominate they added harsh vocals or death growl to their sound. This album is also the only one in the band’s career which featured the vocals of Gus Monsanto. The album was released in two versions – European one and American one. European version contained a bonus track Undying. The album also featured a cover of Irene Cara’s Fame.
