Lacrimosa is a gothic band based in Switzsrland. The band composed of two core members – German composer and vocalist Tillo Wolff and Finnish keyboardist and vocalist Anne Nurmi. The band was formed in 1990. At the beginning, that was a solo project of Tilo Wolff. Later in1993, Anne Nurmi joined him to form a very vital duo. Other band members are session musicians. The band creates dark music and it can be classified as darkwave, gothic metal and symphonic metal. The band mixes sounds of heavy metal with classical instruments like violin, trumpet and others. Their lyrics are mainly in German but you can meet other languages in their songs including Finnish, English, Latin and Russian.
