American singer and musician Ann Wilson, birth name Ann Dustin Wilson, was born on June 19, 1950 in San Diego, California. She is primary known as the lead singer, flute player and occasional guitar player in the band Heart. She also plays piano, violin, autoharp, percussion, bass and 12 string guitar. Her music career began in the early 1970s when she joined the local group White Heart, which was renamed into Heart later. The band was joined by Ann’s younger sister Nancy afterwards. Sisters formed a side band The Lovemongers in the 1990s. Ann embarked on solo career in the 2000s. She released her debut solo album Hope & Glory in 2007.
