Biography

Alexz Johnson is a Canadian pop, alternative and world music musician and singer-songwriter. She was born on November 4, 1986, in New Westminster, British Columbia, Canada. When she was seven years old, she performed at school plays and sang with her local youth choir. She also took participation in various local festivals. At the age of 11, she won a National Anthem Contest. Later, she sang the National Anthem at several games including the NHL team Vancouver Canucks and the NBA team Vancouver Grizzlies. In the late 2004, she signed a contract with Epic Records label and recording her debut album. Songs from Instant Star was released in 2005 and it became her real break. This album reached Top Ten in Canada and the US. The album's singles were "24 Hours", "Criminal", "It Could Be You", "I'm in Love with My Guitar", "Let Me Fall" and "Me Out of Me".
