Biography

English art-rock and progressive rock band the Alan Parson Project was from London, England. The band was founded by Alan Parsons and Eric Woolfson in 1975. The band officially disbanded in 1990. However, the two leaders of the band went on releasing solo albums close to the works of the band. The band is considered to be one of the “classics” of the genre. They have sold about 50 million copies of their 10 studio albums. Parsons was a sound engineer who had worked with many famous bands including the Beatles and Pink Floyd. Woolfson was a composer and pianist who had written songs for many then-popular artists. They decided to combine their talents and the debut album based on the works of Edgar Alan Poe titled Tales of Mystery and Imagination. The band’s most popular album was Eye in the Sky (1982). The album was supported by the title song, which was a big hit. You can download this album by Alan Parsons Project in mp3 from our site.
