Biography

Aisha (birth name Pamela Ross) is an English roots reggae singer. She was born on 1962, in Wolverhampton, England. In 1988, she released her debut album, High Priestess. Her following album, Daughters of Zion, appeared in 1993. During this time, she collaborated with Norman Grant fromThe Twinkle Brothers among other artists such as Kofi, Fabian, and Sandra Cross. She achieved mainstream success in 1984 with her breakthrough album, True Roots, which yielded the singles including "Only Jah Works", "Crisis", "Carnal Mind", "It's Not Right", "True Roots" and "One God, One Aim". And now, you may download Aisha's most successful album, True Roots, in mp3 from our site. After a long break, she performed at the 2000 Augustus Pablo Benefit concert in Jamaica, and in 2004 she made her debut performance in the United States.
